United Way of Southeastern Connecticut is an autonomous and independent non-profit organization, governed by a local volunteer Board of Directors. Board members are chosen by volunteers representing a diverse cross section of the community and include social service providers, business leaders and private citizens. The Board is responsible for making all decisions for United Way of Southeastern Connecticut. Members meet monthly, without compensation, to set policy and review the performance of the organization.
