For the month of March, our volunteer spotlight is focusing on Tim Subashi! Tim is from Groton, and worked at Pfizer as a research scientist before retiring. He likes volunteering because he wants to give back to his community for all of the blessings it has given him over the years. Tim enjoys coming in and working with his fellow volunteers. For the month of February, we will be casting the Volunteer Spotlight on Ted Ward! Ted is from Niantic, and he has been volunteering with the Gemma E. Moran United 
Way/Labor Food Bank since his days as a teacher at New London High School. As a teacher, he was very involved in food drives, and he wanted to stay involved after he retired. Ted volunteers to be a part of something bigger than himself.
For the month of November, we are recognizing Terry Harrington from Groton! Terry has been volunteering at our Food Bank for 6 months, and he really enjoys it! He started off volunteering 3 days a week, but has been volunteering twice a week since getting a job as a pizza maker at Big Y. Terry is an extremely hard worker who has a true passion for giving back to his community and helping others.
For our August Volunteer of the Month spotlight, we are honoring Maria Loss of East Lyme. Unfortunately, Maria passed away in July. We are deeply saddened and heartbroken by her loss. Our thoughts are with her family, friends, and all who worked with her. But we want to take a moment to honor her and the amazing volunteer service she provided to the Food Bank.
