Chelsea Groton Foundation Donates $3,000 to Mobile Food Pantry

The Mobile Food Pantry, which launched in May 2013, has expanded to six monthly distribution sites throughout New London County, with more planned for the future. The pantry is set up in locations to reach the most individuals and families that are at-risk for food insecurity and/or considered "food deserts" where access to food is limited. Guests visiting the pantry receive about a week's worth of food including proteins, fresh produce, and healthy snacks.
