The 2015 AFL-CIO Golf Tournament is set for Monday, August 31 at Great Neck Country Club in Waterford. This year's event benefits Project Warm-up, a program providing one-time, emergency heating assistance to those experiencing a short-term crisis in our community. Project Warm-up ensures that no one falls through the cracks and freezes in their home. Last winter, Project Warm-up helped more than 280 households in Southeastern Connecticut. Last year's event raised more than $13,000.
The cost is $125 per golfer and includes lunch, dinner, greens fees, carts, and prizes. Teams that participated last year will have first preference. The deadline for returning teams is July 13th, after which time, sign up will be open to all. The number of teams is limited and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis after July 18th. Call now and have your name put on the waiting list.
