Betty C. Baillargeon Promoted
to
United Way Vice PresidentGales Ferry, Conn – Betty C.
Baillargeon, longtime staff member of United Way of Southeastern
Connecticut, has been promoted to Vice President, Resource Development.
Most recently, Ms. Baillargeon served as Campaign Director of the
organization.
“Betty’s extraordinary campaign experience and leadership made her an
obvious choice for this opportunity,” said Ken Hinrichs, president of
United Way of Southeastern Connecticut. “I am thrilled that she agreed
to lead the campaign department and help the entire organization move
forward as we continue to create lasting changes in the community.”
Ms. Baillargeon is a graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University
with a bachelor’s degree in Communications/Business Administration. She
has also graduated from Dale Carnegie Training. She is a 13-year veteran
of United Way of Southeastern Connecticut. During Ms. Baillargeon’s
tenure with the organization she has developed and facilitated training
programs for volunteers including Loaned Employees, Campaign
Coordinators, and Agency Speakers. In addition she has managed United
Way’s Day of Caring volunteer event and established the Chairman’s Award
Series program. Ms. Baillargeon resides in Norwich with her husband and
two children.
United Way of Southeastern Connecticut is a non-profit organization
that improves the lives of people who live and work in New London County
and strengthens the community through 83 local health and human service
programs. Programs and partnerships that United Way supports improve
community wellness, help children thrive, supply basic human needs, and
provide training and education for jobs. In 2006, United Way raised more
than $8,000,000 for Southeastern Connecticut.
