New London, Conn...Cornerstone
Productions will present the world premiere of The Crack Free Handyman,
a musical comedy, at the Garde Arts Center in New London, April 18th at
7:00 PM. For this performance only, The Crack Free Handyman will benefit
the Gemma E. Moran United Way Labor Food Center in New London. Admission
for that performance is only the contribution of a non-perishable food
item! This is a family-friendly play that everyone will enjoy.
The Crack Free Handyman is
“the handyman guaranteed to wear a belt” and features a full-blown band
and chorus girls called The Plungettes. Enjoy an evening at the theater
while helping to feed the hungry in our community at the same time.
Simply bring a non-perishable food item to the performance on April
18th. Help us pack the house and pack the Food Center shelves as well!
According to a U.S.
Census Bureau study, more than 15,000 people in southeastern Connecticut
are living below the poverty level. The Gemma E. Moran United Way Labor
Food Center is making a difference for the hungry in southeastern
Connecticut. Last year, The Food Center distributed more than 1.7
million pounds of food through more than 80 free food sites which in
turn helped provide meals and snacks, at no cost, to those in need
throughout New London County.
