Help Feed the Hungry at the
Home Show New London, Conn…The Southeastern Connecticut
Home Show returns to Connecticut College on March 17-19. On all three
days you can make a difference in our community by donating
non-perishable food items at the entrance to receive $1.00 off the price
of admission. All food donations go to the Gemma E. Moran United
Way/Labor Food Center in New London. Examples of appropriate
non-perishable food items that are in need at the Food Center include:
dry cereals, cans of soup or vegetables, peanut butter, and dry pasta.
The Gemma E. Moran United
Way/Labor Food Center provides food and household items to those in
need through more than 60 free food distribution sites in Southeastern
Connecticut including day care centers, shelters, after-school programs
and food pantries. Last year, food collected and distributed through the
Food Center helped provide more than one million meals to the hungry.
The 25th annual Southeastern Connecticut Home Show is a combined
