United Way Announces Funding Opportunity for Programs Helping Youth

United Way is requesting proposals to partner in delivering programs that drive positive change for adolescents in New London County. As part of United Way’s partnership with selected programs, funding will be provided for up to two years to pursue and accomplish the goals identified by United Way. The range of award is $5,000-$20,000 annually. Proposals are due by Friday, April 1, 2016 by 4:00 p.m.

Eligibility

  • Any 501(c)3, municipalities or schools
  • Agencies that do not currently receive funds from United Way are encouraged to apply
  • Agencies that receive funds from United Way can apply but not for programs already receiving United Way funds
  • Agency must be in existence for at least 3 years
  • Agency must have programs(s) and office currently in New London County
  • New programs (not agency) or the expansion of existing programs

  • Proposed Program Budget (showing income and expense)
  • Current Agency Budget (showing income and expense)
  • IRS Letter of Determination (if a 501(c)3 organization)
  • Current list of Board of Directors (names, affiliation and include if they are an officer)
  • Last 3 years of audited financial statements

Proposals are due by Friday, April 1 at 4:00 p.m.  United Way will manage the process for receiving and reviewing proposals and is open to communications and questions from applicants.
