Mobile Pantry schedule for January 2023

The Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Center will host five free, drive-thru Mobile Pantries in the month of January. Walk-ups are also welcome.

As part of the Eastern CT Health Collaborative’s Mobile Health Hub, other social service agencies will be on-site at the Griswold and Norwich Mobile Pantry deployments to provide additional information, referrals, and resources.

You do not have to be in need of food in order to speak with the healthcare agencies:

STONINGTON
Wednesday, January 4 • 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Stonington High School • 176 South Broad Street, Pawcatuck

NORWICH
Wednesday, January 11 • 4-5 p.m.
Three Rivers Community College • 574 New London Turnpike
The Mobile Health Hub will also be on site providing health-related resources, services, information, and referral

GRISWOLD
Thursday, January 19 • 4-5:30 p.m.
Griswold High School • 267 Slater Avenue, Griswold

NEW LONDON
Wednesday, January 25 • 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Jennings Elementary School • 50 Mercer Street, New London

GROTON
Friday, January 27 • 12:30-2 p.m.
St. John’s Christian Church • 346 Shennecossett Road, Groton

The sites are accessible for drive-thru or walk-up visitors. The goal is to serve 150-300 families struggling with hunger and food insecurity in our community at each site.

Anyone in need of food is welcome to attend and no paperwork is necessary. Guests are asked to remain in their car and open their trunk or have their backseat door unlocked where volunteers can place the food. Items distributed include protein, fresh produce, and nonperishable food items.
