September Volunteer Spotlight: Louise Wallace

For September’s volunteer spotlight, we are honoring Louise Wallace from Waterford! Louise has been volunteering at the Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Bank since June of 2013. Originally, she began working on the food side of the operation but has since moved into the warehouse office performing administrative tasks. Louise’s primary motivation for volunteering is to stay active and to give back to her community. She loves volunteering here at the Food Bank, and her fellow volunteers love having her around. The entire staff looks forward to working with her every week.

Outside of her time at the Food Bank, Louise also volunteers at Ledge Light Health District and Safe Futures in New London. In addition, she is also very active in her church. She loves to be around people and loves to do work in her community. Louise is a huge fan of Survivor reality shows. We appreciate Louise, and all the hard work she has put in over the past 6 years!
