Women United will inspire, educate, and encourage women to affect positive change in our community, with a focus on food security in New London County through philanthropy, volunteering, and leadership.

Women United focuses on raising funds for The Gemma Legacy Fund. Gemma Moran left a legacy of caring, compassion, and action as a food banking pioneer. Her determination to help feed families in need, along with the support of Labor and United Way, led to the formation of our Food Center. The Fund will create sustainable support for the ongoing operation of the Food Center program to best position it to provide food security for all in New London County.

WE NEED YOU!

Women United is co-chaired by Pamela Days-Luketich, Vice President, Community Development/Community Outreach Officer, Liberty Bank, and Michele Scott, Tribal Councilor at Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation.

They invite you to become part of a community of like-minded women who want to contribute their personal passions, inspired ideas, and unique strengths to The Gemma Legacy Fund.

You will make a difference through volunteer opportunities alongside others who share your passion. As part of the organization, you’ll have opportunities to network and collaborate with key business and community leaders at exclusive events. You will learn about the key issues impacting our community and be part of meaningful progress towards food security for all in New London County.

It will take collective action to fill Gemma’s shoes and bring food security to all! Join us by completing the form below or download more information.
