Join United Way as an Allocations Volunteer

United Way of Southeastern Connecticut is reaching out to the community for those interested in serving on its Allocations committee. Allocations Volunteers are the eyes and ears of United Way donors. As a volunteer, you will join a team integral in ensuring donor funds are wisely invested in local health and human service programs that are making an impact in the areas of Basic Needs, Community Wellness, Promoting Independence, and Thriving Children in New London County.

As a United Way Allocations Volunteer, you will be reviewing applications submitted by partner agencies, participating in site visits, attending review meetings with United Way staff and fellow volunteers, and making recommendations to United Way's Board of Directors on fund distribution, based on a culmination of applications, site visits, and conferences with agency directors.

You can expect to be volunteerings between January - May 2022. You will need access to a computer and/or device where you can access the internet for application reviewing, along with the ability to meet in person one day per week from either 8:30-10:30 a.m. or 5:30-7:30 p.m. In person meetings will begin in March 2022.
