United Way Reveals New Website

United Way of Southeastern Connecticut has revealed a new website designed to highlight the impact the organization makes and engage residents in its work.

“It was time for us to reimagine United Way’s digital presence and infuse new energy,” said Dina Sears-Graves, President and CEO of United Way of Southeastern Connecticut. “It was important to ensure that our brand, values, and impact continue to reflect that energy and all of the ways we deploy resources to help those in need.”

New features and highlights of the website include:

  • Google Translate to make the site accessible to visitors from numerous languages;
  • Highlighting of United Way’s four impact areas (Basic Needs, Community Wellness, Promoting Independence, and Thriving Children) with stories, partners, facts, and video;
  • Improved, easier-to-read calendar of events including United Way’s Mobile Food Pantry stops and Mobile Health Hub dates;
  • Better functionality with listing of Partner Programs and impact work; and
  • A more flexible layout that allows visitors to quickly navigate the site.

“United Way is more than a fundraising organization,” said Sears-Graves. “We are community-focused and solution-oriented, driven by real results that create systems changes and help those who need it most. By highlighting our impact, removing barriers for contributions and volunteerism, and re-energizing our website as a whole, we’re looking forward to using the site as a tool for engagement and inspiration."
