This year marks the 35th anniversary of our Food Center, named after its founder – Gemma E. Moran. Gemma recently passed away on May 16 at the age of 99 and she remained passionate about feeding people her entire life. It is Gemma’s life’s work and now her legacy, supported by caring organizations and individuals, that make our work possible. All proceeds from the AFL-CIO Community Services Annual Golf Tournament will honor Gemma’s passion and support our work to help fight food insecurity throughout New London County.
