United Way Virtual Reading Day is back! To celebrate Black History Month in February and Women’s History Month in March, we are asking our virtual readers to choose a book that features a protagonist of color or a female protagonist. Need some ideas? There’s a suggested list of titles attached. We are taking our reading online and asking readers to record a video of themselves reading.
If interested, more information about how to record and submit will be sent to you via email. Questions? Contact Christina Fleury at email@example.com or 860-464-3319. Please sign up by February 19, 2021 if you are interested in participating.
Reading Day Details:
Date: February 22-March 12, 2021
Location: Your choice! Read at home, in your office, or in a fun location that correlates to the story you’ve chosen.
What you’ll do: record yourself reading a children’s book using your phone/tablet/computer and upload it so that United Way can create a YouTube playlist of different stories to share with local schools, teachers, and parents.
