10 – 11:30 a.m.
United Way of Southeastern Connecticut, Gales Ferry
This Food Service Education Course is designed for food handlers who work with food in the State of Connecticut.
This course is recommended for all food industry staff/volunteers and can assist in implementing safe food handling practices.
It will help staff/volunteers understand proper hygiene practices and health regulations when handling packaged foods.
Topics include Connecticut regulations, safe food handling practices, temperature control, food contaminants, and more.
This training is free to all Food Center Member Programs and United Way Partner Programs; staff and volunteers. Space is limited so please only sign up if you are committed to attending. This training will meet the Member Program requirement of maintaining a food safety certification; therefore, we will give priority to programs that operate a food pantry in partnership with the Food Center. You will receive a confirmation email/calendar invite once your registration is approved.
If for any reason you must cancel, please let us know as soon as possible. This is an in-person training only.
