Providing in-person and written testimony to state legislators is important because it allows United Way to actively voice the needs of the communities we serve, help influence policy decisions, raise awareness, and ultimately, create lasting change by advocating for systemic solutions to social inequities.

Healthy Community
- Eastern CT Health Collaborative hosted three events focused on Medicaid redesign advocacy, the Family Bridge Program, and an Advocacy Summit with Health Improvement Collaborative of SECT.
- Convened a legislative forum to discuss the realities and needs around food insecurity in and around Norwich.
Youth Opportunity
Southeastern Connecticut Childcare Collective held an informational session on upcoming childcare legislation.
