Together with other high school Juniors and Seniors you will experience and learn about the needs in New London County and visit non-profit organizations with programs that address our community’s most urgent challenges.
While you volunteer, experience first-hand what it feels like to contribute to your community. Activities may include sorting food at the Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Center warehouse, helping to distribute food to families at a Mobile Pantry deployment, and sorting and distributing toys for the Tommy Toy program.
You’ll learn about philanthropy and be an important part of the decision-making process in awarding a local organization a $2,500.00 grant.
Don’t know anything about fundraising or non-profit organizations? No worries – whatever your past experience or future path, we at United Way Southeastern Connecticut look forward to meeting you.
