United Way elects Ornet Hines of Liberty Bank to its Board of Directors

At its July meeting, United Way’s Board of Directors voted to elect Ornet Hines, Assistance Vice President, Branch Manager, to the Board. 

Hines has more than sixteen years of experience in the banking industry. In her role, she provides customized coaching as needed to develop the skills of the employees. She works collaboratively with her partners in Mortgages, Small Businesses, and Investments, as well as providing oversight of the day-to-day operations, at Liberty Bank’s Norwich Branch. 

  

Hines is actively engaged with the community. She has served on numerous nonprofit boards including Martin House and Thames River Community Service.  She currently is a member of the Board of Directors for The Eastern CT Chamber of Commerce Foundation, and S.T.E.P.S. Inc

 

She has also volunteered with the New London Homeless Hospitality Center and she served as Ambassador for the Eastern Connecticut Chamber Young Professionals group. 

  

With United Way of Southeastern Connecticut, Hines has been a Volunteer Reader during United Way Reading Days both virtually and in-person and been an Allocations Volunteer on the Financial Review Panel.
