Hall Radio will hold its 3rd Annual Kick Off the Summer Food Drive with WCTY, WKNL and WNLC at ShopRite in New London on Thursday, June 26 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. All donations benefit our Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Center.
In New London County, 13.4% of the population experiences food insecurity. This means a significant number of residents, including many children, struggle to access enough food for an active, healthy life. Additionally, food prices have increased dramatically, making it even more difficult for families already struggling to make ends meet.
Help put food on the table for families in need. United Way of Southeastern Connecticut is at the forefront of bringing food security to ALL in New London County. But we can’t do it alone! If you are looking for what to donate, we are currently in need of the following items:
- Shelf-stable microwavable meals (oatmeal cups, ramen cups, mac & cheese cups, soup, etc.)
- Peanut Butter
- Pasta & Sauce
- Cereal
- Mac & Cheese
- Canned Fruit & Canned Vegetables
- Soup
- Rice
- Dry Beans
- Shelf-Stable Milk
This ShopRite location is celebrating its 25th anniversary and is located at 351 N Frontage Road.
