Registration now open for Constructive Dialogue Collaborative Program for High School Students

United Way is now accepting registrations for its Constructive Dialogue Collaborative Program, a unique learning opportunity designed to equip high school students with the skills needed to navigate difficult conversations, build critical thinking abilities, and engage respectfully with people who hold different views.

The program focuses on building understanding, bridging divides, and creating change by teaching participants how to engage in constructive dialogue - conversations that emphasize listening, empathy, and finding common ground. Through a blend of online learning and in-person workshops, students will gain practical tools to navigate political and social divides, strengthen communication skills, and contribute to more inclusive and cohesive communities.

The Constructive Dialogue Collaborative includes six self-paced, 30-minute online sessions, followed by two in-person workshops that allow students to practice and deepen their learning alongside peers.
Students who successfully complete all program requirements will receive a $100 incentive and a certificate of completion. The skills gained through the program are designed to support both college and career readiness, helping students build confidence, empathy, and leadership skills that extend beyond the classroom.
